From the conclusion of my thesis, I started wondering how we could value our duties in everyday life. After 3 months of on-field study, research, observations and interviews, the brief for my diploma project resulted into helping people make the right choice during their grocery shopping.
A prospective AR service that helps consumers make choices that respect their own value during grocery shopping
In our complex modern world where easy choices in consumption often contributes to a system that is un-ethical, polluting and destructive to the planet or humanity, how can we avoid participating in this vicious circle?
After choosing my target, I observed 5 people doing their grocery shopping and made a survey where I had 80 answers. Here are my findings:
Bees contribute to the ecosystem when they feed themselves by pollinating. I figured, humans should do the same! The entire shopzz application for AR glasses is based on this metaphor.
When installing Shopzz on your AR glasses, you will have to take time to give the application information about your family, your eating and cooking habits and your different values. It may be troublesome but in order to shop responsibly, this is a very important step. Shopzz will create your own personal label with how much you value health, equity, ecology and locality (these values were the ones that stood out in the survey)

I enjoyed working on the subject of ecology which is something that always concerned me deeply. This project inspired me to change my lifestyle for what I believe. I have taking new habits to live a more zero-waste lifestyle.
I learned to organize the user research when the user was difficult to access. I also learned to represent an AR concept.
